Stop Smoking

I have been a smoker for 33 years of my 49 years. I had tried the patch and chewed Nicorette gum on and off over the past few years. This was done to help me quit smoking with no success. Sometimes, I would chew Nicorette and smoke at the same time for that ultimate “nicotine buzz”! Smoking was not a habit to me; it was a horrendous addiction! I was in need of serious help!

Then I had remembered my niece, who resides in Pittsburgh, had quit a few years ago via acupuncture. It worked for her and it will work for me. I was determined to succeed this time.

My only child recently became engaged and I needed and wanted to be around for his wedding and for my grandchildren.

I had met Dr. Ted at work and read his brochure. I phoned him and made an appointment. I saw Dr. Ted three consecutive days for acupuncture treatment. He also gave me some special tea. The tea helped me calm down and detoxify me. It worked!

With Dr. Ted’s talent, and knowledge and my determination, I will never smoke another cigarette again!

In the future, I will seek Dr. Ted’s help in treating my Raynauds Syndrome ( a circulation disorder), as medication does not seem to help.

Pain in the Neck

I am so grateful to Ted Zombolas and the acupuncture treatments I have received. For months I had chronic neck and shoulder pain from the strain of subluxation and a reverse curve of the spine in the neck area. I have been under chiropractic care and the spine is improving, but the pain did not go away.

After ten minutes into my first acupuncture treatment, the pain was virtually gone. It was amazing. After a few days a little discomfort returned; but after the second treatment I have been pain free. I feel wonderful. The treatments were painless for me and they have given me my life back. No one should suffer if acupuncture is an option.

Back Pain

My name is Dr. JW; I am a surgeon. One might wonder why a surgeon would support the use of acupuncture. Surgery may be considered the most western of modern medicine, but life teaches us that all possibilities need to be explored. That opportunity presented itself to me after a back injury left me unable to work for almost a week. I saw several physicians and did the “standard therapies”: rest, muscle relaxation, heat and analgesia. However, when this failed to deliver any relief, I sought the alternatives. Fortunately, I was able to speak with Ted, and he agreed to give me a treatment right away. The results were amazing. Within one-half hour of starting, the pain decreased significantly and I had probably 75% relief of my symptoms. Where earlier I could hardly sit or stand; now I could move around with minimal discomfort. Two more treatments over the next several days and I was completely pain free and able to return to work without any restrictions.

I have to admit that I was initially somewhat skeptical, but the proof lies in those little needles. Ted took the time to explain the principles and procedure to me, assuring me that everything was safe. The treatment was not painful and the relief began almost immediately. It goes without saying that I would highly recommend this form of therapy to anyone and would consider it not only as an alternative but also as a first line of therapy for many conditions.

Restless Legs 

I have been going to Zombolas Acupuncture for about nine months. When I first went to his office my heart was really skipping and had been for quite sometime and steadily getting worse. He took my pulse and blood pressure and asked how long my heart had been skipping. Later he did an EKG and alerted my doctor.

I have had restless legs ever since I can remember. Even as a child. Mr. Zombolas has taken care of my restless legs with acupuncture and it seems good to be able to get six to seven hours sleep at night. Mr. Zombolas is very well educated in his field and I recommend him whole heartily, especially people who are allergic to modern medicines.

Hypertension

My physician has been treating me for high blood pressure for almost fifteen years. During last year’s physical, when he wanted to ad a fourth medication, I asked to pursue an alternative. Ted Zombolas LAc, Cac, had come to the area and was quickly obtaining a good reputation. My request for a prescription was met with expected skepticism. My work with Ted Zombolas resulted in much lower blood pressure. At this year’s physical, my doctor said it was much better. My experience with acupuncture was successful, and I would continue to work with Ted Zombolas, had he not relocated to the Philadelphia area.

Bad Knee

Oh! The pain!!

I had injured a ligament in my knee and it was agony to walk or stand. After 2 needles in my arm, liniment on my knee, a heat lamp and 20 minutes later; I was told to stand and walk. Reluctantly I did so with no pain. A miracle! I was cautioned to remember that I still had an injury and had to let it heal.

It was amazing!!!

Please really know how very grateful I am for your professional acupuncture treatments. The number of medical doctors I have seen since 1997 is at least 12 with no pain relief. When I came to you on December 9, 2004, you listened, and a miracle is happening as a result of your knowledge.

Replace That Knee

As a medical doctor and anesthesiologist, I was very skeptical of any “alternative therapy”, especially acupuncture. A colleague of mine introduced me to Ted, and together we discussed the virtues of acupuncture. I had terrible knee pain as I had a left knee replaced and was scheduled to have my right knee replaced in the fall. I was now on my first day of my medical leave of absence due to pain in my knees and reluctantly allowed Ted to needle me.

Within 3 minutes of the needles being inserted, my pain was down 80%. Within 20 minutes I was completely pain free. I had a total of 2 treatments and have rescheduled my knee replacement for the spring season to recuperate in the summer. I thank Ted for his skill and masterful manipulation of the acupuncture needles. This was nothing short of a miracle.

Although this was a dramatic case with exceptional results, I have referred my family members and family physician to Ted.

Our Daughter

To whom it may concern, our daughter is 22 years old and had been ill for over 15 years. Over the years she developed food intolerance's towards almost anything she put into her mouth. Within minutes of eating she would double over with sharp abdominal pains; tears and anguish would follow. She suffered from headaches virtually all the time and would migraine to the point that we made frequent trips to emergency outpatients. She further suffered from extremely painful menstrual cramps and chronic PMS symptoms.

As a result her low her energy levels and constant pain were making going to school and pursuing her career extremely difficult.

As parents, we were at our wits end to find the relief for her condition. Years of going from specialist to specialist offered nothing from conventional medicine other than frustrating the problem further. We tried holistic medicine that seemed to have marginal success but ultimately the problem was still plaguing our daughter.

We have known Ted Zombolas for many years and our paths fortunately crossed as his family moved into our area a couple of years ago. He subsequently opened an acupuncture clinic and my daughter became his first patient. To our incredible amazement within a couple of sessions a marked improvement was noticed. With guarded optimism we hoped this was not going to be another short term solution.

Considering how long our daughter was sick, the results over the next couple of months of treatment were short of miraculous. She began to eat what she wanted, including dairy products. Her headaches became significantly less frequent and her energy levels improved considerably. Her mood changed, as she was, at last, able to participate fully in a very active life style.

For us, as parents, there could be no greater joy than to see our children happy and healthy and reaching their full potential.

We know little about the vast knowledge that has gone into acupuncture medicine but we are humbled by the results. A Good Night's Sleep

Just a note to say thank you for your exceptional service you gave me tonight. I am still in total awe of this evening's treatment and its amazing results. I had suffered all day long from sciatica and fatigue from not sleeping for several nights because of the sciatica, in addition to intense shoulder pain. I know that you were very aware of my physical & emotional state when I requested an appointment on Sunday evening.

I cannot express the astonishment felt when, after having indicated a painful spot on my ear following your questioning me as to if my ear hurt in any spot, and that the particular area corresponded to shoulder pain. But then… to have my shoulder pain totally disappear and full movement return within a matter of minutes following the almost painless insertion of needles in my ear… THAT WAS INCREDIBLE!! For the first night in ages. I actually look forward to a good night's sleep.

Thank you also for your patience and understanding as I sat there and cried with the relief of having the pain disappear. You have such a gentle way about you. Your ability to explain the techniques used helps demystify the entire process. Your sense of humor is such a welcome treat as it shows genuine concern for your patients. I am so impressed wit your exceptionally helpful attitude.

While this certainly has not been the first time you have helped me…it was the most dramatic, (though the total relief of pain in my ski accident foot this winter was almost as dramatic…as was the relief of back pain several weeks ago!). Arthritis

I am taking this opportunity to let you know how pleased I am with the great improvement I find in my hands since starting the acupuncture treatments.

Prior to the treatments, I had a great deal of pain and stiffness in my hands in the mornings from arthritis. I had difficulty with many every day things, gardening, vacuuming, opening tins, etc…

After my second treatment, I was surprised to find my hands so much more flexible in the mornings. After five or six treatments, I can now do my daily routine with much less discomfort.

As I continue treatments, my hands continue to improve. I would not hesitate to recommend this treatment to anyone suffering from arthritis. It has certainly helped me. Thank you Dr. Zombolas.

Migraines with Nausea

For over one year I had been suffering from severe and prolonged migraines with nausea. They would last from a week to one that lasted a full month. I would be in bed in the dark with cold cloths Gravol, Tylenol extra strength, Stemetil and the narcotic Talwin.

I mentioned it to a business associate and he strongly insisted I go see Ted. I was a skeptic completely. It took a couple of months until finally I had had enough. I went for my 1st treatment. He put me at ease immediately and explained how he would treat me. He also has as a great sense of humor. Before the treatment he is very careful in taking notes concerning symptoms and changes in symptoms.

The second session 1 week later he was able to stimulate the needles more and I felt the halo go away for the first time in a year and one half. No migraines, no medications, he had also on that treatment told me to push down on points on both hand if I felt pain coming on again, and it worked. In the beginning I did not believe this was going to work, I was just desperate.

Ted has given me relief from excruciating pain and avoid addiction to a narcotic. The acupuncture has allowed me to be able to function everyday as opposed to days or weeks of total incapacitation.

It works, and for that I am very grateful to Ted.
